Terms of Use

Version 2.0.0 · effective 2026-07-27

Version 2.0.0, effective 27 July 2026.

1. Scope and provider

These terms govern how you may use SynsIQ and the server services that go with it. They apply between you and the provider:

Markus Kainer
Hagenholzstrasse 60
8050 Zurich
Switzerland
support@synsiq.com

The app is made available through Apple, whose own terms apply to that as well.

2. Test phase

SynsIQ is currently distributed as a test version through TestFlight. In this phase the app may contain faults. Features may change or disappear altogether, and a migration may cost you data. Do not rely on SynsIQ as the only place your training data lives.

3. Your account and your role

You can use SynsIQ without an account. You need one only if you want to synchronise your data across devices or work with a coach.

There are accounts for athletes and accounts for coaches. Choose the role that matches how you actually use the app. As a coach, you reach only those athletes who have accepted your connection.

Give accurate details when you register. Keep your credentials to yourself and look after them. If you suspect someone else is using your account, write to support@synsiq.com and change your password.

If you are a minor, you need your parent's or guardian's agreement before opening an account.

4. Using SynsIQ properly

Use SynsIQ within the law, for your own training, or as a coach to support the athletes connected to you.

You may not attack the server services, obtain access to anyone else's account or work around access restrictions. Nor may you falsify measurements or results, pull data from the services in automated bulk, put unlawful content into free-text fields, or use SynsIQ in a way that harms other people.

If you breach these terms seriously, we may restrict or suspend your access. We will choose the mildest measure that puts a stop to it.

5. Health and safety

SynsIQ supports cognitive and sport-related training. The app is not a medical device. It replaces neither a medical diagnosis nor treatment or advice, and the values it shows are not medical measurements.

We promise no particular result. How your reaction time, your attention or your athletic performance develop depends on many things we do not control.

Where you train matters as much as how. Never use the app while driving a vehicle, while cycling, while operating machinery, or in any other situation where a lapse of attention could put you or someone else at risk. Set yourself up somewhere safe beforehand, where you can give the exercise your full attention.

Stop if you feel dizzy or unwell, if you are in pain, or if you notice anything unusual. If you have health problems or a pre-existing condition, speak to a doctor before using the app.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to run the service reliably, but we do not owe you uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, faults and third-party requirements can all get in the way.

We may develop, change or discontinue features. If a change works materially against you, we will tell you in the app in good time. Your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

7. Rights in the app

The app, its design, its texts and the code behind it are protected, and those rights stay with the provider or the respective rights holders. What you get is a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app on your own devices. You may reverse engineer or modify it only where the law says you may.

The data you create remains yours.

Using SynsIQ costs nothing at present. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

8. Closing your account

You can stop using the app whenever you like. Delete your account in the app under Settings, and the server-side data goes with it. To remove the local data, delete the app from your device.

We may close an account if you breach these terms seriously, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue it, we will tell you in good time so that you can save your data.

9. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, and for harm to life, body or health.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are liable only for the loss that was foreseeable when the contract was made and typical for a contract of this kind.

Your mandatory rights under product liability and consumer protection law are untouched. Nothing in this clause takes away rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

10. Final provisions

Swiss law governs these terms. That choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules where you habitually live. As a consumer, you can rely on those rules at any time.

Claims are brought at the provider's seat, unless the law requires a different venue.

We may adapt these terms where legal or technical reasons call for it, or where we change what the app does. You will find the current version in the app under Settings, with its version number and date. We announce material changes in the app. If a material change does not suit you, you can delete your account and stop using SynsIQ.
